This is a great course to learn to sew with knit fabrics as you create a t-shirt and joggers. You’ll also get help shopping for materials, notions, and sewing patterns.
We have chosen the Brassie Jogger and Terra Tunic patterns available online because they offer many options for creating casual and dressy clothing.
There is a men’s pattern for the bottom: Iron Jogger and the top is the Dockside Tee

YOU WILL LEARN
techniques, and tips for cutting & sewing knits,
best stitch settings, needles,
tricks for eliminating jams, puckers, and skipped stitches,
getting the right fit,
sewing in pockets,
sewing a neckband for a scoop style
what to look for when buying supplies online: quantity, weight, stretch percentage, and fiber content

You may want to wear something close-fitting for the first session to get proper measurements.

• your tape measure,

• laptop or smartphone to place your fabric order

• card for purchasing fabric and notions.

*We recommend using a professional pdf large-print (AO) size printing company such as PDF Plotting by Keith Fabry or a printing company such as Staples or Office Max.

*We will show you samples of fabrics that work for each pattern's specification and where to get quality fabrics, etc., online.

Students age 18 and up who have completed Stitch-Style-Create or understand how to sew clothing from a pattern are qualified to register.

Class size is up to 3 at a time, so you get more individualized attention.

Semi-private classes have no listed dates/time, so the instructor will email you to set up the 4 class dates and times when you complete your registration.

Semi-private and Classes with dates are $250.
Private classes are $375.
