Jamie Hevener:
 Jamie, the owner since 2024, is a sewing instructor who teaches kids and adults to learn to sew. She began her company, Sew Kart, a mobile sewing class in 2012, and worked with Gail Kelley as a co-founder of The Sewing Hive in 2019. She’s also head of marketing for The Sewing Hive.

Her past classes were at The Ohio Craft Museum, The Columbus Idea Foundry, various local handmade shops, and community centers.

At age 7, Jamie learned to hand stitch. She studied art education at The Ohio State University and discovered many more textile applications that began with her illustrations. Jamie continued her coursework at CCAD, focusing on color combinations and figure drawing.
