Learn to sew sophisticated slip dress for the season.

Bring the You’ll need fabric for the slip dress : Lightweight woven, non-stretch fabric, such as satin, silk crepe, silk twill, cotton shirting, lawn, voile, batiste, swiss dot, or rayon,
Matching all-purpose thread and any lace or embellishment you choose (and two 3/8” O rings, two 3/8” adjustable strap sliders for the Ash Dress.)
Bring the printed copy shop pattern pieces or your home assembled one from your home computer.

*Note: Satins and velvets can be more challenging, so if you are a beginner, aim for fabric with less slipperiness.

You’ll learn sewing techniques such as how to make straps, add (optional) laces and elastic at the waist, cut to sew on the bias, make a rolled hem, and find out the best ways to sew lightweight cotton such as lawn, voile, satins, or rayons.

This class includes the choice to make a camisole set, too!
If you’d like to make the camisole set, please bring:

Savannah Cami Pattern, printed by a copy shop or printed and assembled from a home printer
All-purpose polyester thread,
1.5 of 1/4” elastic for the shorts
Two 1/4" bra rings and two 1/4" bra strap sliders if you’d like to have adjustable straps
MAIN FABRIC: Rayon challis, silk, lawn, voile, lightweight linen

Go to the pattern’s materials and measurements list for the appropriate fabric quantity per the size you are going to make.
Ages 18 and up with knowledge of how to sew from a garment pattern and comfortable with a sewing machine. Max of 4 students
