We will be creating a master pattern that fits your body, then showing you how to use your personalized master pattern to evaluate commercial patterns.

Fitting is the most difficult part of sewing, but not if you know how to evaluate other patterns.

This class has no dates. Once you register, we will contact you for scheduling.

If you want to sew great fitting clothes, you need this class.

In these three sessions, you will be making a master bodice, skirt, and, sleeve sloper using your measurements and a basic fitting pattern. We will take your measurements, and you will grade the pattern to those measurements, then sew a muslin. The muslin will be further fitted to your unique body. Think of this as your personal ‘Label’ pattern.

After additional adjustments have been made, the muslin will be deconstructed and drawn onto paper.

With a Master Pattern you can either create your own patterns, or you can use the Master Pattern to check the fit of a pattern you would like to sew. This Master Pattern can be used for blouses, skirts, or dresses.

This has been upgraded to a three session class. The first two sessions will be creating the pattern. The third session will be how to use the sloper to evaluate commercial patterns.
