Intro To Sewing Your First Project
Learn to sew in this one-time class, we will jump right into sewing your first project, a pillowcase, while learning basic skills such as setting up your threads and changing a machine needle.
You may want to consider Stitch-Style-Create 1: Learn To Sew, a 5-session course that begins with Intro To Machine Sewing, as you sew beginner projects to learn basic techniques to become an independent sewist.
IN INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING, YOU WILL GAIN THESE SKILLS:
how to sew a straight line, back-stitching, finish a seam, pivot (sew around a corner), and how to properly use sewing tools like pins, fabric markers, sewing shears, and machine needles,
Wind a bobbin, change stitch settings, cut the fabric using a simple pattern, and troubleshoot common issues with machines, like thread jams and fabric puckers.
2- hour class, ages 16 and up, designed for beginning sewers or those with no experience
NOTE: When a date/time option doesn’t have a calendar date, an instructor will email you after registering for your class to coordinate a time/date that works best for everyone.
Bring your sewing machine or rent one of ours
The class fee includes supplies, patterns and instructions.
3/4 yard of quilting cotton for the main section
1/4 yard of quilting cotton for the decorative cuff
all-purpose thread to sew the pillowcase
2-hour class, $75 per student.

Semi-private options have a two-student minimum requirement to register. Once you register for a semi-private class, we will email you to coordinate a time and date that works for everyone.
Private options are One-On-One classes with you and the instructor only. The price is $95.
