Grown Up Cosplay Camp
Grown Up Cosplay Camp
It's not fair that the kids get to have all the fun! We'll revisit our childhoods and create some basic cosplay pieces including a tunic, cape, gloves and bracers while learning new techniques and skills to bring your cosplays to life
Materials list:
Tunic:
-3.5 yards of a woven, non-stretchy fabric 54"-60" wide like faux suede, fleece, wool, bottomweights, linen, satin, etc
Cape:
-3.5-5 yards of a woven, non-stretchy fabric 60" wide (the more yardage you have, the fuller and more dramatic your cloak will be) like velvet, faux suede, fleece, wool, satin, lace, etc
-If you want your cloak to be lined, the same amount of another non-stretchy 60" wide fabric like satin, fleece or wool
Gloves: 1 yard stretchy knit fabric (spandex, lycra, think swimsuit fabrics)
-1 yard double sided paper-backed fusible web (Heat n Bond, Steam a Seam 2, Wonder Under, etc)
-1 yard medium weight single-sided fusible interfacing (Pellon Shirtailor or SF101 work well, but nonwoven is fine too)
-Thread to match all fabrics (if you can find it, Elo-Flex, Maraflex or Seraflex stretch thread for the gloves will make your life easier)
-Basic sewing kit (pins, hand sewing needles, marking tools, fabric and paper scissors)
-Bring your sewing machine or rent one of ours
All materials for the bracers are included (class will decide if they want to work with leather or Worbla and EVA foam based on their interests)
July 27-29 (Saturday-Monday) 9 AM-4 PM
