In this focused class, participants will learn the essential techniques for hemming and altering gowns, ensuring a perfect fit for any special occasion. Whether preparing for prom or an elegant evening out, this workshop will equip you with the skills to create a polished look.

What You Will Learn:

• Understanding fabric types and their specific alteration needs.

• Getting a better fit.

• Techniques for hemming different gown styles (floor-length, high-low, etc.).

• Adjusting straps and bodices for a refined silhouette.

• Tips for sewing with delicate fabrics and finishing edges professionally.

• Basic hand-sewing techniques for those intricate adjustments.

Materials Needed:

• A gown requiring hemming or alterations.

• Sewing kit (scissors, pins, fabric chalk, etc.).

• Sewing machine; machines will be available for rent.

Skill Level: Confident-Beginner with the knowledge of how to operate and set up your sewing machine independently.
