Sew a dress for a special occasion! I’ve picked three pattern suggestions for classic styles you can use for many occasions and wear for years. Add a jacket or sweater and some pearls; these styles are timeless.

Your pattern: Pattern suggestions: I like Style Arc’s Sussex Dress the best; others include Butterick 4386 ( Amazon) and New Look 6524 (nice sleeve variations). Style Arc sizing is very specific; please do not purchase until we talk. If you have a pattern other than these, no problem; email me the Pattern #.

Your sewing machine, sewing tools. Tissue papers will be provided.

Fabric required by your pattern style and size, pre-laundered,

Bring any notions required: zippers, thread, and buttons.

I am doing this as a private option only….so all my attention goes to you! Once you are registered, we will select dates/times, discuss the fabric available, and pick a time for measurements. Unless you have already sewn from a pattern, please be aware pattern sizing is much different than Ready To Wear clothes.

Most of this class will get the pattern fitted, cut out, and start sewing. You should be able to get a lot of the sewing completed. If additional time is needed, it will be billed at $20/hr.
