When I had small children, I sewed for a company that made applique for college sororities/fraternities. I found I really enjoyed sewing and making creative things, including book bags and chair covers for my children’s school. I started taking sewing classes after retiring from a long career working for Westerville City Schools.
As a student at OSU, I loved working in the theatre costuming department and making all kinds of things, including clothing and even a few textiles.
As I kept learning, I had so much fun making doll clothes. Since my granddaughter loves Barbies, the natural progression led to many Barbie outfits!
Creating and designing modern doll clothes seemed like an excellent way to express my love for fashion, and I’m excited to teach you the tried-and-true techniques I’ve used along the way.
