Fashion Camp for High School Teens
Fashion Camp for High School Teens
How does fashion work, exactly? Learn the design process from the ground up. Working as a team, students will create a mood board, share sketches, and then each student will design a garment or accessory that fits into their collection and create it for a fashion show at the end of camp. Students must have taken Intro to Machine Sewing or have equivalent experience. They should be able to thread their machines and sew a straight line without assistance.
Materials list:
-Old magazines, thrifted/damaged art books, calendars, or computer printouts your student finds inspiring. We will be cutting these up.
-Sketch book
-Drawing tools (pencils, sharpener, colored pencils, eraser)
-Basic sewing kit (pins, hand sewing needles, fabric and paper scissors)
-Bring your sewing machine or rent one of ours
There will be a variety of fabric, patterns and notions available for students to choose from but they usually want to purchase something else once they’ve finalized their design after Day 1.
