Fashion Camp Junior

How does fashion work, exactly? Learn the design process from the ground up. Working as a team, students will create a mood board, share sketches, and then each student will design a garment or accessory that fits into their collection and create it for a fashion show at the end of camp.

Materials list:

-Old magazines, thrifted/damaged art books, calendars, or computer printouts your student finds inspiring. We will be cutting these up.
-Sketch book
-Drawing tools (pencils, sharpener, colored pencils, eraser)
-Basic sewing kit (pins, hand sewing needles, fabric and paper scissors)
-Bring your sewing machine or rent one of ours

There will be a variety of fabric, patterns and notions available for students to choose from but they usually want to purchase something else once they’ve finalized their design after Day 1.

Minimum 2, Max 6 students

Ages 8-13
Students must have taken Intro to Machine Sewing or have equivalent experience. They should be able to thread their machines and sew a straight line without assistance.
