Say, “Hello to winter break with a camp full of handmade friends and cozy creations! Each campus will get to turn a lost glove into their own monster buddy, complete with a cozy bed and a unique photo frame that captures all the memories of the week-Human and monster friends alike. To make it official? We’re using instant cameras for a throwback photo strip everyone gets to take home!

Day 1: Meet Your Monster Buddy & Bow Making We’re starting strong with our main character: the monster buddy! Each camper will pick a glove and transform it into a monster with personality. Using felt, buttons, yarn, and whatever little quirks they dream up, campers will bring their monster to life. Maybe it’s a sweet monster with a bow, or a goofy one with big eyes—each one will be as unique as its creator. 

Next, we’ll craft a little bow or accessory to give our monsters some style points (and maybe even a friendship vibe with other campers' monsters!). By the end of Day 1, everyone will have their new friend and a matching accessory to show off. 

Day 2: Crafting a Cozy Monster Bed Today’s all about setting up a comfy spot for our monster buddies! Campers will sew a felt bed with a pillow and customize it to their monster’s taste. With ric rac, buttons, and the all-important “closet pocket” on the back (for bows and mini secrets), these beds will have everything a friendly monster needs. 

Each bed will feel like a mini masterpiece, and campers will get to share their beds and the fun stories behind them. Plus, everyone will get a quick photo of their monster tucked into its new bed for the photo frame we’ll make tomorrow! 

Day 3: Photo Booth Strip Frame & Friendship Celebration 

Time to capture the memories! We’ll set up a “Meet Cute” photo booth for campers to snap photos with their monster buddies and with new camp friends, creating moments to remember with fun poses and instant snaps. 

For our final project, each camper will design a felt photo strip frame with four spots for photos—one for each day’s creation and one for memories with friends. This strip will be the perfect reminder of their camp journey, showcasing their monster buddy, its cozy bed, and snapshots with their new crew of monsters and fellow makers. 

To wrap things up, we’ll have a mini-celebration where everyone can show off their creations, share funny moments, and admire each other’s photo strip frames. Campers will head home with not just their monster buddy, but a lasting memento of a winter break full of creativity and new friends. Get ready for a warm and wonderful three-day winter camp filled with sewing and getting creative!
